Add Items broken after upgrade

I just upgraded to Gallery 2.3.1 from a couple of versions ago (not sure of the previous version). It appears to be O.K. except the Add Items function doesn't work now - it was fine before the upgrade. The Add Items page loads, but the fields for choosing the file and entering a caption do not show. A screen shot of how it looks is here: http://npsoregon.org/additemsbroken.html

Any suggestions for how to fix this greatly appreciated!

Current system info:

Gallery version = 2.3.1 core 1.3.0.1
PHP version = 5.2.14 cgi-fcgi
Webserver = Apache
Database = mysql 5.1.39-log, lock.system=flock
Toolkits = ImageMagick, NetPBM, Gd
Operating system = Linux

It's possible a file was not copied completely , or your template cache still needs clearing.

But my favorite upload method is Uploadify anyways, far superior to the old itemAdd.

All the applicable ItemAdd templates appear to be identical to the originals. (I had made some modifications, but the default files are installed for now, until this gets resolved.) And I had flushed the template cache already, so I don't think it was that.

Thanks for the Uploadify info. It looks nice...but I don't see immediately how I will be able to implement my mods.

Verify your Gallery files are intact:
FAQ: How can I make sure that my installation files are all intact?

Thanks, nivekiam. I ran the verification as described in the FAQ. There were two warnings.

1. Output buffering disabled.
The explanation indicated that Gallery can live with this.

2. Gallery file integrity. Missing files (2)
Both were missing from the watermark module, which is not even activated in my installation. Do they need to be replaced, and if so, how can I do that?

I don't think either of the warnings would have an impact on uploading photos, but I'm just guessing. What would you suggest now?

Thanks to nivekiam's hint in another thread, I realized that my modified template files for Add Items needed to be updated. That fixed this problem.

Ah, I'm glad that helped. Now I do wish G2 was still in development because a new feature I'd like to see is have the file checker look for "local" directories :)
