2008 Google Summer of Code
Gallery is pleased to participate in the 2008 Google Summer of Code. The Summer of Code is a program, funded by Google, to essentially give students a paid internship with Open Source projects.
The student application process has begun. If you would like to work on Gallery during the Summer of Code and are eligible to participate, take a look at our ideas page and talk to us, either in #gallery on irc.freenode.net or on our Summer of Code mailing list. The student application process runs from March 24-April 7, 2008. Be sure to apply before April 7 when the application process ends.
Due to resource constraints among our potential mentors, we are hoping to mentor only 1-3 students for this year's Summer of Code. We encourage potential students to apply to multiple mentoring organizations because of this.
The Gallery team learned a lot from participating in last three year's Summers of Code, and enjoyed working with Google and the students on their fantastic projects. We look forward to another great Summer of Code, and can only imagine the types of exciting projects students will accomplish this time.

I think this is greqt from google. They offer creative people the chance to get a reward for there hard work. I wich you very good luck there.
I couldn't be there last year and unfortunately I forgot to apply before April 7.. Hope it will be useful for students that enter!
