The website for which I am a college sports photographer decided to move its webhosting to a popular superbowl advertiser. The gallery portion of the site was setup by me without much trouble on version 2.1.2 of gallery a few years ago.

After having spent several hours trying unsuccessfully to authenticate (including scouring the forums) I have decided to give up!! There must be other online galleries out there that it is actually possible to install.

I am planning to setup a photo gallery for the family.
I am just planning the install and have noticed I have a 100mb MySQL size limit, so I am wondering if the images are stored inside the MySQL database or just links to the pictures. If they are stored in the database then I will not be able to upload many pictures of reasonable resolution.

I've twice installed Gallery2, both stopped showing main.php within a few hours with all white space and no matrix template modifications.
Hosting provider claims to be running PHP 5.2.9 Is there anything I can do to get a gallery 2 install.
Here is Galleries output.
