Some themes may have a place for you to add a copyright message under "Theme Options."
Otherwise, you can manually add it to the bottom of the page.html.php file (under views in your theme's folder).

Andrew59, I'm not sure what you're asking. You don't or can't have or own any copyright related to Gallery3. You have copyright over your own content, but not the Gallery logo, not the Gallery 3 name (or Gallery 2 or Gallery 1), not the code, which is released under the GPL, etc.
Please clarify what you are asking about.

Admin/Theme Options/Footer Text to incude copyright in the footer.
Also install the module Custom header to include meta information (copyright, robot, apple-icon-yada and so on).
