Keep Gallery2 in sync with a local folder

Hi,

Is it possible to keep the pictures in Gallery2 in sync with a local folder. I have my pictures stored in a local folder on my Ubuntu server. I would like to be able to import that folder into Gallery2 and then be able to update that import any time new pictures are added to the local folder. I don't care if the process is automated or not, but is there a way to tell Gallery2 to "rescan" the imported pictures folder for new images?

No; lots of people have requested such a thing but nobody has implemented it.

I would go for it too if somebody makes a module for that. It would be so convenient.
