I love it - Gallery seems to be the answer for me!

For many years I have maintained a picture gallery on my site - Hearth.com

The gallery had to be created offline - and then uploaded. I used iview media pro, etc......
That worked well, but updating was hard to do. I longed for an online solution.....

A couple evenings ago, I decided to download and install Gallery 2.x (older php on my server, so stayed with 2).
I figured at least I would see what it was about....and maybe over a couple months, be able to migrate the 1500+ pictures and captions from my gallery......

Lo and behold, 3 days later my new gallery is up and running with all pictures!

Thanks...and I will be donating more via paypal......

is my Gallery installation. I will be fine tuning it over a couple of weeks, but it already beats my old one!

So, kudos to the crew!

If anyone needs any free advice on wood stoves or pellet stoves....well, you know where to come (or who to ask).

you haven't lost anything. G2 is more complex & complete, but more slow compared to G3. if you have a fast host you better chose G2, because you wouldn't see much difference at speed.

Thanks! glad you like G2. It is a very good piece of software with a large following. I will take your kudos to the conference ( http://gallery.menalto.com/gallery-con-2011-atlanta ) if I can get out of the airport. :-)
