"Origination Date" equivalent in Gallery3?

In Gallery2 I sort my albums in descending chronological order with the newest at the top and the oldest at the bottom. The sort setting is "Origination Date" "Descending". I also manually set all of my album dates.

When importing my Gallery2 albums the sort order is not retained and there doesn't appear to be an "Origination Date" sort option.

Does anyone know what I should select in Gallery3 to get the same sorting that I had in Gallery2? I have the "Edit Captured Date" module installed and I can see that the album dates were carried over from Gallery2. I've tried all of the available sort options in Gallery3 and nothing works.

I'm not familar with G2, I can explain G3's date fields though, hopefully this will be helpful.

Gallery 3 has two "date" fields --
Date Captured: The date a photo was taken (normally not set for albums)
Date Uploaded: The date a photo/video was uploaded or the date an album was created.

There are two modules available for editing these fields:

editcaptured corresponds to the "Date Captured" field when you're looking at the album sort options and editcreation corresponds to the "Date Uploaded" field.

If the album dates were carried over, you should be set. Sort the album by date captured, descending.

I think I've got this squared away. I started going through each album individually and realized that some of them were not displaying the correct date from Gallery2. I'm not really sure how to explain why dates imported over from some albums, but not others.
