Can I install previous version of a plug in?

I recently updated the search plug-in on Gallery 2 but this seems to have disabled a search module I had installed (http://www.saulmade.nl/g2modules/). The module does not seem to be compatible with version 1.0.8 of the search plugin.
I just wondered if it is possible to install the previous version of the plug-in so that the module can work again.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
