ImageMagick install/verification in gallery2

Hello,
I have a VPS, installed ImageMagick and gallery2. I am able to do create new thumbnails using I believe convert as top says convert is using some CPU when processing the thumbnails.

I am also able to do:
which convert
/usr/bin/convert

And whereis convert
convert: /usr/bin/convert /usr/share/man/man1/convert.1.gz

And convert --version
Version: ImageMagick 6.2.8 10/20/10 Q16 file:/usr/share/ImageMagick-6.2.8/doc/index.html
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2006 ImageMagick Studio LLC

However, during the gallery2 setup, it complains that /usr/bin/ does not exist and the tests fail.

Anyone can shed some light on it? Much appreciated!

Look at floridave's tip on bypassing the openbasdir check in G2 here: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/83377.

Better is to actually change the settings on your vps since you have root access.
