Photo viewing size

Hi,

I'm hoping a kind person will help me with this simple question...I took a look at the archives and couldn't find a solution...

I'm looking for a way to reduce the viewing size of a photo after you click on its thumbnail. I'm hoping this will improved the viewing speed a little...the photos are rather large...around 700x700.

I use Gallery 2...

Gallery can build intermediate sizes
edit album -> album tab -> Resized Images - Each item in your album can have multiple sizes. Define the default sizes here.

You can edit the album(s) to have multi resizes or you can change the resize that you are using not ( I assume 800px).
