I have used gallery before on my own server at midphase and have installed it manually (gallery 2) as I am trying to do now, but I am using a different server that is a dedicated server that uses Plesk Panel, which I have never used so a bunch of things are different (usually use cpanel) When I first tried to install gallery automatically it didn't work right, gave this error: "the directory cannot be used because it would be overlapped by another app installed in httpdocs. Such overlapping would make the app unavailable." But I realized it was for Gallery 3 which I didn't want, so I ignored that and went to install it manually. Everything works fine at first for installing, other then I get this error: Warning: Output buffering is enabled in your PHP by the output_buffering parameter(s) in php.ini. Gallery can function with this setting - downloading files is even faster - but Gallery might be unable to serve large files (e.g. large videos) and run into the memory limit. Also, some features like the progress bars might not work correctly if output buffering is enabled unless ini_set() is allowed. So I continue through and it seems to install but when it gets to step 11 and finish installation instead of being complete when you click to go to the gallery, it takes you back to step 1! The other things and I have no idea if these are important, but all the files are stored in httpdocs and also when I tried to install automatically it wanted me to use https which I haven't seen it ask before which was weird. Also, it won't let me create a folder above httpdocs in ftp, Just like it wont let me chmod the file to 777 (though that step said it worked) I tried to answer all of these, but most came from phpinfo because I couldn't figure out where in this weird control panel it had the things listed. I do know though that it is up to date enough because another user on the server has gallery2 installed. Thanks, Jamie
