Facebook integration

Alas, with FB getting popular, and much easier to use for the family, it has become the standard. But I have always liked that by using Gallery, I have a remote backup of the photos. (which you do not get when using FB)
In addition to that GalleryRemote is really horrible to use, but we were enduring this one.

I am hoping that if I made uploading photos to G3 be really simple and userfriendly, and they automatically end up on FB, that I can get it switched back.

So I am hoping for better FB integration. For example:

* Uploaded photos to Gallery, is automatically uploaded to FB. Either defined FB photoalbum name, or better, FB photoalbum of same name. Sure it would be nice if the "synchronise with Facebook" was a tickbox in the setup of a new Album.

* Comments made on FB are imported to Gallery
* Comments made on Gallery are imported to FB.
* Tagging made on FB are imported to Gallery.

Now, there already are some movements toward this. "export_facebook" seems to exist, but all URLs to download it lead to 404. But it can be found if you start at github and work down. However, it uses an Facebook App, which can not be used, the hostname has no A record. So clearly in dis-use.

What can be done about this? Does Gallery have a system where donations can be made toward getting a functionality?

Even though I am a developer, I have not used Gallery, nor Facebook API, so I would have to learn both systems first which is well tedious.
