Installing slimbox on Gallery2.3 (greypop theme)

Hi,

Can anyone help me on how to install slimbox (instead of inbuilt lightbox) to show popups from thumbnails in my gallery2, as lightbox is built in prototype and conflicting with my ajax apps and also slowing down load times.
I am even ready to pay for this as appropriate.

Following are my system details if that helps

Joomla Version - 1.5
Gallery version = 2.3.1 core 1.3.0.1
API = Core 7.54, Module 3.9, Theme 2.6, Embed 1.5
PHP version = 5.2.17 cgi-fcgi
Webserver = Apache
Database = mysql 5.1.58-community-log, lock.system=flock
Operating system = Linux
Theme = greypop
