I'm getting error, i've seen plenty of posts daying this is a safe mode problem, i contacted my hoster and he said that safe mode is OFF, when i look to the setting is seems to be off ...
Any suggestions ? Harry.

Your host was not forthcoming when he said safe mode was disabled as he didn't mention that you have the PHP Suhosin patch active as I suspected.
Ask the host to review review the Suhosin configuration: http://www.hardened-php.net/suhosin/faq.html#how_can_i_find_out_the_problem_when_my_application_breaks
