[WINDOWS] Problem With Email Sending

I have Gallery 3.0.2 and have installed the E-card module. The server says their are no errors but when I try to send a e-card the send option gets blacked out but the box doesn't go away. When I check my email their isn't any email from the server. This happens when ever I try to send an email threw the sever. The same basic thing happens when I use the email verification option under the user registration module. Does any one know hoe to fix this?

Does your server have any sort of mail server installed for it to be able to send email?

Try the test script from here:

I do have a email server but their is no email server setting in the modules. I installed PHPMailer module but that didn't fix it.

How'd the test work out that I linked to above?

G3 sends mail from my server without any problems. You shouldn't have to change any settings or install anything like PHPMailer.

ok, when I tried the test script I got an error: Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 553 5.1.8 Sender address <you@yourdomain> domain does not exist in C:\wamp\www\test.php on line 7

See full error here: http://areserver.co.cc:9090/test.php

how do I fix this error?

Replace "you@yourdomain" with your real email address and try again.

Also, Windows isn't a supported platform for G3, you need to get your mail server working before you can even have a remote chance of getting G3 or any PHP script to send email out.

I too am having the same problem. I've tried the test script above but the ecard module doesn't respond when you click "send". Any help much appreciated.

If you are having a mail issue, then it's something in the php.ini

did anyone find a solution for this? I test my sendmail via php simple script and it worked, not sure why in gallery when I click send it doesn't respond or just sits there.

I know I said it needed to be customizable in 3.x and I haven't touched that on my VMWare box in a year. I just downloaded 3.0.3 today so I'll check it.
