Can you limit sub-album creation?

I have a gallery, but I don't want users to create more than one-level deep sub-albums. Does anyone know how to limit this?

Example:

This is as far as it should go:
Gallery -> User1 -> SubAlbumX

This is too much:

Gallery -> User1 -> SubAlbumX -> SubAlbumY
