How can I change the text Date: as shown in screenshot to Date Added:

Or can I comment it out and create a custom Field instead?

gallery2/modules/core/templates/blocks/local/ItemInfo.tpl <- copy the original here and edit this copy
line ~9: {g->text text="Date: %s" arg1=$smarty.capture.childTimestamp}
