I am a newbie in gallery 2 (version 2.3.1 based on Gecko-Theme) and there are some problems in my new gallery.
At the first I want to edit the links at the "Add Elements" page: How can I edit the Link-Names and where can I delete some specific links ? On the picture below you can see what I mean. Remote and Upload Applet cooperates, so I want to delete the link for Remote. Only from Browser, Windows Wizard, Picasa and Upload Applet should be there. And how can I edit the names/descriptions from these links ? They are to long, and will break my layout ... and what the f*** is a wizard with "t" ? *lol*

I hope, you can help me.
Best wishes and a nice weekend.

You can remove most of those uploads options.
The only "relevant" options IMHO are "Web Browser" and "Uploadify"

Head to gallery admin -> plugins and remove the ones you don't want.

Hi suprsidr,

Uploadify looks very nice - and it works.
But can you explain me, what "Resizes" mean ?

those are the intermediate sizes gallery builds for viewing images.
so for each image gallery keeps the original, builds a thumbnail, and however many different intermediate sizes you specify in album preferences. Edit Album -> Album Tab -> Resized Images

Resizes are usually built on demand but building them ahead of time can speed up page load.

Works great for me with Gallery 2.3.1. but:
The checkbox for 'Create Thumbnails now' is by default checked, where can I modify this to be unchecked the same like the 'Create resizes now'?

There are still some Dutch translation problems similar to what I see in the (German) screen dump of Reisender66 above.
The buttons are not translated at all and only the 'Browse' button has bold text. Any clues where I can influence this?

The block 'Copy base filenames to:' including the option fields is not translated at all. Where can I change this?

Only the complete block 'Thumbnails' is correctly translated, where is this defined?

The block 'Resizes' again is not translated at all.

When translation as a whole remains a problem, I rather would not have translations at all. Is it possible to set language for only this module to English somewhere?

Uploadify has no translations, you'll want to edit module/uploadify/templates/ItemAddUploadify.tpl

That is fine with me, but the 'Thumbnails' block is not defined in ItemAddUploadify.tpl and is actually being translated (and the checkbox is set to checked). Where can I edit this section?

Thanks for the quick reaction. Removed check="checked" from line 12 in CreateThumbnailOption.tpl, realising that this effects any routine using this option.

The language issue I can live with, might do some tinkering in my local nl.po
