Upgrading from 3.0.0 to 3.0.2 question

Dear folks, I'm using gallery in a directory /gallery. But because of fear of loss of data, let me please ask the question, so that I can be sure. Sorry about this. I've read the instructions for upgrading, so I have to umpack the 3.02 version into a new folder, lets call it /gallery32. Right? Then I have to move /gallery/var into /gallery32/var. Right? Then I have to start upgrade within /gallery32-folder. Until here I have understood. But what is with my /gallery folder? I have linked from several sites to this folder so I don't really want to rename galley mainfolder and use /gallery32. How can I get back 3.0.2 version into /gallery. May i delete old /gallery folder and rename /gallery32 to /gallery after update? Would be nice, if you could help me with this little uncertainty. Yours TGW |
