I'm using the gallery-random block on my front page. Up until last night, it worked great and I never had a problem. I recently added a bunch of photos into an album (approx 170 photos) and now I get this error message in plaec of the random block: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 47 bytes) in /home/virtual/site113/fst/var/www/html/nuke/html/modules/gallery/classes/Album.php on line 433 Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 64 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 Does this mean that I can only upload so many photos to one particular album? I'm not receiving any other errors in Gallery, so I may try to go through and weed out photos to see if it helps alleviate the problem. I'm using postnuke .723, gallery 1.3.4-RC1 and ImageMagick. You can view the error at http://www.rice-girl.com Thanks! |

Thanks, I didn't see this forum. My eyes and my search capabilities must require more coffee this am.
Thanks!

What is the appropriate memory size to increase to? My web host said they could only increase to 12MB for security purposes. Will that be enough?

RiceGirl, the only thing I can say is that you need more than the default 8... Give it a go with 12, it might be enougj.

My provider limits me to 8M default. htaccess isn't an option.
Is there any setting with the random block that I could set that would reduce the memory requirements?

kkinderen, no not currently. You could try some other random block that only displays from one album or something.
