Is there a way to retrieve the text I added to my albums from a broken gallery?

Hello,

My gallery broke when I switched servers for my website. I have copies of the photos, so not concerned about those. I would like to know if there is a way I can view or find the text I added to the albums. I was looking around through FTP in a few places, but wasn't sure where the text might be, or if available at all?

Very old
You really should consider upgrading. Upgrade path from 2.2.4 -> 2.2.6 -> 2.3.1

I cannot remember if there were any DB backups made back in 2.2.4 look in /path/to/your/g2data/backups

If so I may have a tool.

I found a folder called g2data, inside there were 3 folders, albums (with only 2 pictures in it from what I can tell?) and one called cache and smarty which both have ? marks on them. Does that mean there is no folder with the text and all my photos in it? Unfortunately there was no backup or anything done when the site was moved to a new server. Is this something that can even be fixed at this point, or is everything missing? I am not sure how to tell. I thought if I can at least retrieve the text in the albums I will have everything again to start fresh.

FAQ: How can I move my Gallery installation from one server to another?

Without your g2data and a database copy you have nothing. Ask your old host for copies.
