charset problem with importing photos

When importing photos all Scandinavian letters (ä,ö etc.)taken from exif/iptc data are in form A¤ etc.

Template charset UTF-8.

Affects normal upload and Windows Publishing Wizard module.

Any help for this?

All upload methods or just those 2?
did you try Uploadify?

Just those 2. Not tried Uploadify or any other method.
