Adding newly registered users to correspondig group fails / permissions denied though admin

Hi,

sometime around January I installed G2 V2.3.1 and found the results running smooth.
So, when it came to deciding about what gallery software to use at a friend's site (same hoster, same platform), I didn't give it a thought too long but went straight on to installing G2 again. This time V2.3.2.

And now I'm facing problems I did not experience before - any help would be greatly appreciated:

Registration:
No activation by admin or via confirmation mail required

No errors during the process, but: the newly registered user, though listed as user existing, does not appear in the corresponding user group nor in any group at all.

Shouldn't be a big deal to add him manually though, but ...

The registered users group does not show a members link ('though the admin group does ...)
Choosing "registered users" and klicking on "add user/member" presents me an astonishing error message: I dont't have the nescessary rights - access denied!
No matter where else I put my fingers on: I still am admin and do have the corresponding permissions to change whatever I like.

Could anybody please give me a hint on what I might have overseen for days now?

Has the user logged in yet?
Registered Users group never shows a members link

Hi,

thanks for the quick reply!
He had - with no effect at all.

Since my initial post I found the time to remove the existing installation and re-install (again ;-) ) G2 starting from the very beginning.
For whatever reasons (okay: for whatever I must have done wrong before repeatedly ...) - now things look like they do what they should. I'll have an eye on it and will start some more testing as soon as I'll be back home on weekend.

Sorry for the fuzz I caused.
