This Gallery is integrated with phpBB3. I just had a user upload some .jpg to Gallery 2 and they are not behaving like the others. At first they opened in the lightbox, but they were bigger than the whole screen. Now the lightbox stopped working. I just get a small white box with the upload pinwheel going around forever. I purged my browser caches. Nothing changed. When I try to view them as a slide show they are either tiny 320 X 320 images no matter what size setting I put them on, or if I set it to unlimited they are massive. If I select "View Item details" I get 1600 x Various sized images with one option to go to 3872 X 2178 images. I suspect the size of the files is an issue. They are between 1.5MB and 3.3MB in size. I selected a 3.3MB image and shrunk it to 2,500 x1,673 and 513KiB. I uploaded that with the same file name (the original being renamed/backed up in the directory ), but nothing has changed. I suspect it is using a cached file and is ignoring the new one. Can anyone help me optimize these files. Also. is there a way to limit the size of files that are uploaded? The host has the limit set to 25M. You can take a look at http://www.grub-n-gear.ca/forum/gallery2.php Album: BWCA Summer 2011 is the one that is not behaving. Thanks for any insight or help. |

You need to build some reasonable resizes.
you must have added the lightbox yourself as its not included in the matrix theme.
you can see the default behavior of the matrix theme here.

So I resized one pic ( the boundry waters sign ) and nothing happened. Yes I added the light box and I realize that the link is the default behavior. So once I've resized all the pics what do I do? What is the optimum size? Do I need to purge a cache some how?

Looks like your other albums are using 640x640 resizes http://www.grub-n-gear.ca/forum/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=123
To resize all items in one album:
Edit Album -> Album tab -> Resized Images -> Target Size -> 640x640 -> Apply settings to existing items -> Apply album setting to resized images -> Build resizes too
