Hi,

I'm running Menalto Gallery V3.03 and it looks that anything is up to date.
My problem is, that I still get no feedback when someone submits a comment.

I already saw this other topic with "ini_set("session.use_trans_sid", false)", but this doesn't help for me :-(

My Gallery: http://album.michael-joos.ch

Any help?

Thx
Michael

I don't understand, you are not getting emails from the notification module?

Ah, sorry...

There is no feedback when someone clicks the submit button and therefore the user can't see if the comment has been accepted. Somehow the page is not reloading.
The comment itself gets added immediately. It happend many times, that a user submitted his comment 2-3 times because he can't see if it was successful...

It sounds like some Ajax is not returning correctly. The cause could be many things. One thing to do is to make sure to switch to the built in theme (wind) and turn off any extra modules that you might have installed. If things work, then start turning modules on one-by-one to see which one might be causing the problem.

I was able to make a comment on the first item at the above URL.

Yeah, it's working now!
I have disabled the module "notification". But I'm wondering, because it's part of gallery 3.03 core...

Finally the old version of "phpmailer" (module) was the problem. Now I'm happy :-)

Glad you got it sorted and providing feedback on what it is for others that search in the future.
