Hi there,

I am new to Gallery3 and was looking for a way
- to import videos
- and to play the videos
within Gallery 3.

What I found so far was installing the module
- Videos
where I can upload a video file to a new created folder on my server. And after installation I can use the "add video" menu found under "add".

Two questions I have:

1) can I directly upload a video (also as user) like a regular photo or will I always have to use an upload via ftp first?
2) How can a video be played in a video player on the site to avoid downloading a video as it currently is?

I hope someone can answer my questions and point me to a solution.

Cheers,
Oliver

Just fine:

or

depends on the size. Larger ones will require the server add method.

Depends on the movie. The player will start to stream as it plays.
