Hello,
I've been using Gallery 2 for about five years. Recently I installed Gallery 3.0.3 and imported about 670 photos in 5 albums. It all went very smooth. G3 is stable and clean. In G2, my thumbnails were 300px wide and I was able to show 3 on a row in an album. In G3, I had to change the thumbnail width to 200px to fit three on a row.
Can I have a wider thumbnail (250px to 300px) and have three photos on a row?
I'm considering installing a theme to possibly have wider thumbnails and to control the background colors and more.
How do I go about selecting a theme? The lists I've seen in gallerymodules.com and the Codex appear to just have the name of the theme. Which ones are most popular (most downloaded)? What features do they offer? Which ones are compatible with Gallery 3.0.3 (and maintain compatibility with the latest non-experimental version). It would be great if there was someway to try out a theme similar to Wordpress themes.
Thanks,
Chuck

The default wind theme is a fixed width and thus you need smaller thumbs to get more per row. Other themes have different methods.

I don't know if gallerymodules.com keeps stats or not. The grey dragon theme has a large following in the forums so I would say that that one is the most popular by users.
The codex page for each theme should offer some incite. It is up to the community to report back.
