Originally I was running the Gallery2 in a Linux web server.
However, I need to upgrade the Gallery3 and install it on a Windows Server.

I found that there is a useful module, named gallery2 import.
But it is not supported to run on Windows platform.

As there are too many photo albums stored in Gallery2,
Is there a way or another tool that could help migrating the photos from Gallery2 to Gallery3?

Thanks. Noted with the installation guide.
But how about the photos & data on the gallery2 on Linux server? Any ways could be suggested on how to migrate them?

Data from the G2 install must be on the same server as the G3 install to migrate.
So I guess you have two three options:
1. Install G3 on the old server, migrate data, move G3 with DB to new server.
2. move the G2 install to the new server, install G3 and migrate the G2 data.FAQ: How can I move my Gallery installation from one server to another?
3. Install G3 on the new server, transfer the G2 albums directory from the old server to the new server's temporary direcotry and use the sever add method to add the data. (loss of all meta data (titles, descriptions etc))

That is all I can offer.

I will consider using method3, it seems that method3 requires the shortest time and effort during migration.
Thanks for your help.

Danny, I just left the g2data in my www and the database, installed G3 and ran the import module. It takes some time but I had no issues and about 30,000 issues in my Windows gallery. You can install G3 on the new server, drag the G2data dir into a directory (keep it out of the new sites directory) and have the old dB in /data on mysql.
