Ok so I have installed my first gallery3, and would like to setup mySQL. I have setup My SQL and I receive the following error: Gallery 3 needs a MySQL database. The values provided work for most setups, so if you're confused try clicking continue. Once I enter my login info and click continue, i get the following error: We were unable to connect to your MySQL server with the username and password that you provided. Please go back and try again! I verify that MySQL is up and running and my login details are working. My server is hosted with a hosting company, does anyone know what else i may try? Your help is appreciated. ________________________________

URL to your gallery3 installation?
I ask because your signature contains a link to an online store and a known user and moderator's donate link
and your other comment was on an old outdated topic w/ the same spammy signature.

From screen1.jpg I don't see that you have put in the password.
Verify that the username, password and hostname are correct. If you still have a issue, your host should be able to see if you are using the correct credentials.

Thanks floridave! I have reconfimed my login details and all was correct. My hosting company mentioned that there was a permission problem with the database and a new one needed to be created. Ok, good that is done and my installation was done in 5 mins after that.
Now I have a very strange problem. I have uploaded 4 photo's to the gallery, but on the 5th photo i receive the below error:
"Can't find ffmpeg on your system. Movie uploading disabled."
Thinking that i am missing a codec of some sort, i susequently installed ffmpeg codec and still receive the above error. I have also screen shot the error.
Thanks,

You can try the no ffmpeg module if you can't get ffmpeg installed.
Again you host should be able to help with ffmpeg installation. If it is in the 'path' then gallery will detect its location.
There is also an advanced setting for changing the ffmpeg path.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this?
So, I have uploaded a few photo's. I notice that the thumbnail view does not contain the photo to the correct size (see screenshot)
I have also checked around in settings without any luck, could there be a setting that i missed?
Thanks,

Probably a theme issue that might have never been addressed.
Stat a new thread mentioning the the theme and a url.
