I have tried adding the ffmpeg module in the www/uploader/modules but it is not showing on my admin to activate?any ideas |

ffmpeg is a built in module for G3 no need to install the module. Your server however needs ffmpeg:
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Modules:ffmpeg
Best best is to ask your host to install ffmpeg and have G3 detect its location.
