Upgrading to bleeding edge, still nags that I'm not on latest

Received the banner "A newer version of Gallery is available! Upgrade now to version 3.0+ (build 250 on branch master)" so pulled down the latest via git and hit $MYURL/upgrader/ to do the update. It tells me that "That's it! Your Gallery is up to date. Return to your Gallery" (and looking in the background, "Gallery 3" is at "50" for both "available" and "installed" versions). However that "A newer version of Gallery is available!" persists on my pages. Am I missing something?

You should be able to remove the message fom the messages table in the DB.

I guess it's also a bit of a bug-report that for some reason the upgrade didn't clear the flashed message. Repeated attempts to go to $MYURL/upgrader/ still don't clear the "you need to upgrade" message.

I've seen it occasionally but can't reproduce consistently to reproduce.
