Just included TC HTML5 on my site and it's BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you!

I do have a couple of questions.

In trying to use it on the iPad, how do you get the cloud to spin? When I try the "obvious" swipe, the whole page moves. It does it on the iPhone as well.

I changed the font color in both the sidebar and the full view. Any way to change it in the inline view?

When you go to a picture by using a tag in the Tag Cloud, I don't see a way back (other than browser back button) to either the album you were in (the up arrow), or the main gallery. I can get to the main gallery by clicking on my logo but the average user isn't probably going to realize that.

Thanks again. I notice that the version for WP isn't as robust. Any plans for same features on WP?

Hey there,

Thanks - I'm glad you like it!

Re: changing font color, the inline view is based purely on the theme. I hadn't thought of putting in an additional setting to override it, but will consider adding it if/when I update it to a newer version. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: touchscreen use, hmm... I'm not sure I know yet the best solution. The current setup uses cursor position to determine movement, and clicks to select tags. With a touchscreen, the click action translates well, but the cursor position doesn't at all. I tried playing with it on my tablet last night, and agree it's sort of a pain, and I'm not sure mapping the swipes would be enough to make clicking on it easy/practical. I wonder if simply replacing it with the inline view for touchscreens might be more useful?

Re: moving back from the tag selection, that's not controlled by the tag cloud module but rather by the main tag mechanism. The browser back button is the simplest way, of course. The up arrow is really intended to move up in the hierarchy, but tags aren't really children of any other album. I'm not sure if I can envision a method much simpler / straightforward than the browser back button at the moment - your thoughts?

Re: WordPress, I hadn't planned on it, no. I'm a user of Drupal personally, so if anything I'd apply my efforts there first :-). I based this thing on TagCanvas, so googling around for TagCanvas and WordPress might find something. That said, I've significantly modified the module, most notably in its motion characteristics (the original module lacked a physically-based model so, in my opinion, felt completely unnatural to use). So even if you found a module written for WordPress around TagCanvas, it probably wouldn't feel the same.

Take care,
Shad (the author of the tag cloud HTML5 module)
