Hello everyone,
I have Gallery V3.04 and everything is working fine except to update the language.
As the server is unable to connect to menalto.com directly,(up to now i do not know why this problem of connection), it needs to use proxy to connect to the site.
But using a proxy server, the update all the time fails, saying connection refused or failed.
Is there any configuration that need to be done in order for update language succeed using proxy?
Any suggestions or help, i will be very grateful, as I am on this problem more than 2 weeks.

Is there no answer for this issue?
Really the server needs the proxy to connect to menalto.com. I tested a lot of direct connection, in my office, my client sites and cybercafe and all of them has problem to connect to the menalto.com site.
But if i use a free proxy from international sites, then I am able to connect to the Gallery site.
And I need to add other languages like French and Arabic to the server, but unable to update due this problem.
Does anyone can see why using a proxy server that has a parent proxy in international makes the update fail?
Or is possible to configure proxy directly in the Gallery? if yes, how it can be done?

I know nothing about proxies but here is a ticket:

that might give some clue on how to setup.
Why not disable the proxy to get the files and then turn it back on.
It grabs the files and stores them in the DB as far as I know.

Thank you very much for your reply.
That is the problem, if I disable the proxy, the server is unable to connect the gallery site. It also gives the failed update.
I will try the solution that you mentioned and hope it works.
