[server_add] Very very slow, or hangs during upload

Hi guys,

I'm trying to upload a folder with pictures with use of server_add.
I activated the module and made a new temporary map.
With my ftp client i uploaded the photos into this map.

When i try to add the photos to my album the process stopped when it is saying: Scanned one directory
When i wait for 30 minutes and i stop the process only one picture is uploaded.

I can see in my mysql server_add_entrys table that the whole directory is scanned correctly.

The only thing which i'm not sure off is that the the table with the item_id is NULL for all pictures except the first one (which is actually uplaoded).

I'm running on the latest gallery3 version with PHP Version 5.3.15

Im interested to know how to upload a folder using server_add. Im also waiting for a response to this.

Can you please go to Admin -> Maintenance and check the status of the task.

You have to keep the page open when server_add is doing work: that's how Tasks work in Gallery. If you click start, and then navigate to a different page, then the task will be suspended. And when you click Resume, same thing applies: you have to keep that window open.
