I'm using Gallery 2.3.1 with the Notification module. I was hoping to be notified whenever anyone adds a comment on any gallery item. But it seems that the notification module only notifies the person who adds the comment. Not useful at all. Anyone else noticed this, or sees different behavior? Thanks. |

Are you "watching" the root album and sub-albums as well?

Does the email work from the general settings page (site admin->general)?

I'm using PHP default, not an SMTP server.
I sent myself a test message and it works. I always get a notification when I add a comment to a photo, but when someone else adds a comment to the same photo, or any other, I don't get a notification.

Not sure why.
it works for me.
Just verify you are 'watching' the item.

Must be the "Public" option. I couldn't find any documentation on it, so not sure. But when I ticked that, I got a notification when someone commented on another photo.
