Possibility to upload thumbnails and resizes alongside photos for "server add"?

Dear fellow Gallery3 users,

My hosting provider is complaining about high CPU usage during resize/thumbnail generation when I am using the "server add" module for more than 100 or so photos. I am aware that this is not a Gallery3 problem, it is a hosting provider problem. I would however like to avoid switching (for now) as it is such as hassle to migrate everything.

I am presently toying with the idea of modifying the "server add" module (and the underlying methods) to handle upload of thumbnails and resizes alongside the original photos - but I'd like to see if anyone else has come across this problem and found a solution (besides switching hosting provider).

As this is my first post ever to this forum and I have been a happy user of Gallery for more than six years, I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank development team for this excellent piece of software.
