[SOLVED] no image after upload

Hello all, I just installed version 2.3.2. I am having a couple of issues I hope someone can help me with. No issues during the install. 1. When uploading a photo to the main page album, the status bar stalls and never proceeds (waited 15 minutes). The thumbnail is however created as is the image. When I click on the image it brings up a larger image too 2. For sub-albums only the thumbnail is created, any further drilling in of the photo is just blank. Version and other information attached.

Fixed - bad jpg images. Once I opened and resaved them, things work. Strange.
