Ignore hidden thumbnail folders

I have installed Gallery 3.0.4 on my Synology DS412+. The Synology has a default location for photos which is usually /volume1/photo and in this folder I have a subfolder for each of my photo albums containing many photos.

For Gallery to access this server location I added the Server Add module, no problem so far. The problem I have is that the Synology automatically generates a hidden folder named @eaDir in each of my album folders which contains thumbnails, and Gallery is adding all of these unwanted thumbnails to my albums.

Is there a setting somewhere that I can specify @eaDir as a folder to ignore?
