Trying to embed Gallery2 into a Drupal site

I have installed a Drupal 6 into a folder on my host and also I installed Gallery2 (G2) into that same folder. The G2 worked normally by itself. I then installed the Gallery module into my Drupal installation. In the beginning everything seemed to go normally. I went to configure the Plugins by setting the Multiroot. I have followed the instructions and put the generated php file inside of the G2 folder. I then went to the Drupal module for configuration everything showed Ok except the Sync field. However, the serious problem now is that I cannot login to my Drupal Admin account. I am getting the following error messages.

This webpage has a redirect loop,
The webpage at http://file54.com/testdrupal6/main.php?destination=node has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Here are some suggestions:

Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

I get the above when I try to login to my Admin account by http://file54.com/testdrupal6

testdrupal6 is the folder where my Drupal 6 and Gallery2 were installed

I would appreciate any help so that I can get back control of my Drupal test site.

Are you using Dayo's new module? http://gallery.menalto.com/node/108625

The G2Drupal module supports Drupal 7 but not Drupal 6. The older module does support Drupal 4 to Drupal 6.

Anyway, visiting http://file54.com/testdrupal6 does not give me the redirect loop so I assume you now have control of drupal.

If this is a new installation, you might want to consider using Drupal 7 instead of Drupal 6 though.

Yes, I restored control to my Drupal by deactivating some parts of the .htaccess. But when I returned to the configuration of the drupal module, and things were Ok, I again lost control. BTW, I could not find any module release for Drupal 7 and I am compelled to use Drupal 6. Thanks for trying to help me.

You are not compelled to use Drupal 6 as the module suprsidr linked to, G2Drupal, is for Drupal 7.

Thanks for this followup. I am compelled because my office work is using only Drupal 6 at this time. I installed gallery-2.3.2 Full successfully on my hostmonster account. After that I installed the Drupal Module for Drupal 6. How can I configure a special view for Drupal?

You can look at the module's information pages here: http://codex.gallery2.org/Integration:Drupal.

Alternatively, since the module is distributed on the Drupal website, you may be able to find help there (http://drupal.org/forum).
