Dear helpdesk,

Everything goes well exept, the module TAG won't appear in my module list, so I can't activate it. All other tag modules reguire this module. I allready replaced it ones but it didn't help. So please....

It concerns Gallery 3.

best regards,

I would suspect that there is some missing files or something. The Tag module is shipped by default with the G3 files.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for helping me out. What file could I miss. Ik see the tag map and its content. Does it have to show in my module list with the name TAG or has it another name.

all the best

There should be file called module.info in the directory just like all other modules.

name = "Tags"
description = "Allows users to tag photos and albums"
version = 3
author_name = "Gallery Team"
author_url = "http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery:Team"
info_url = "http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:tag"
discuss_url = "http://galleryproject.org/forum_module_tag"

Yes there is, containing this, all in one sentence (on line whitout returns I mean)

Is this the file that G3 reads to spot the module. Because it isn't.

thanks again

if it is all strung together in one line I suspect that to be a issue.
Try uploading the files over again.
You can get modules to show in list just by creating a folder/directory and a module.info file in that folder/directory.
I created a directory called dave and in it I have a module.info:

name = "Dave"
description = "Allows DAVES"
version = 44
author_name = "Gallery Team"
author_url = "http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery:Team"
info_url = "http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:tag"
discuss_url = "http://galleryproject.org/forum_module_tag"

and it show up like:

Hi Dave,

Problem solved. The name in the info was TAGS with a S and the map of the module was without a S.
The module appears now.

It was correct out of the download, so don't know what happened.
Anyway, glad you got it sorted.

Hi Dave,

Not for me, because I'm happy but for your information. I downloaded version 3.03 from the original Gallery3 site. It has a folder named TAG and the name in the info is TAGS with a S.

Could't attach the zip so I send the info. In wordpad because xxx.info didn't attach as well.

best regards,

Bart

I work with 3.03 because 3.05 didn't work whatever how I installed and patched it. 3.03 is fine!!

The only change between 3.0.5 and 3.0.3 was the url from menalto to galleryprogect.org
https://github.com/gallery/gallery3/blob/49f6ce2d94194220213edb108e4ac372acd2eabb/modules/tag/module.info
The name of the folder does not have to match the name inside the module.info file. As you can see the folder name is tag and the module name is tags.
