Gallery' is not writable error

I just updated from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6 and now I get this error. My var directory is set to 777. I'm sure it is a permission problem but can't fine it. Any help out there?

Is the permissions set recursively (all file and all directories)

Yep that was the problem. I didn't use -R with the chmod command. I'm glad it was something easy this time (-:

I have the same problem.

I've a question about security if changing permissions recursively to 0777;

Is this specific for Gallery 3.0.6 ? On my previous 3.0.5 installation permissions were not 0777...

for the 'var' directory they have always been. Part of the installation.
