Delete uploaded photos?

I have several thousands photos on my webserver at /public_html/fotografier

I use server add to get them into my Gallery3

Can I safely delete and remove this /fotografier afterwards?
I see Gallery 3 put them under /var directory?

You can safely delete and remove /fotografier afterwards..by default Gallery 3 puts them under /var directory but u should be having no issues..
