when will gallery3.1 available?

recently using gallery 3.06 and gallery2, find gallery3 is good, but as short of some functions, I have to use gallery2. So very interested in gallery3.1
when will the first beta release of 3.1 available for download?

@eaglelive - it's currently under active development, but it's going to take another couple months to be done. We're making some *big* changes (such as upgrading jQuery from 1.3 to 1.9 and our framework from Kohana 2.4 to Kohana 3.3), so it's taking awhile.
