I can enable ratings for admin, but not for any other group. Rating stars show and can be selected for admin, but nothing shows for other groups. Have enabled permissions and for ratings block to be shown in sidebar, but nothing shows (for admin or other groups). Help please.

Yes, and it then showed up when I am logged in as the admin, but not when I log in as a registered user (they have permission to rate also).

Do they have permission on the particular album?

Yes. I'm only working with one album at present (to learn the system). Works great for admin, but I cannot get ratings to work for anybody else.

It works if I enable View Ratings (views ratings only) or All Access (user can make and view ratings. It tried turning both View and Rate on, and both worked (same as All Access), but if I removed View, Rate also disappeared. How 'bout that??

you have to be able to view it to rate it - only logical.

The idea of the two functions (rate and view) is so that individuals can rate an object without knowing the current average rating (which could influence their rating). That's the function that is described in the plug-in. I think that it's got a bug.

No.
That is your idea of the two functions.
If you cannot view the rating interface, you cannot use it to rate. More likely you can allow anon to see ratings and entice them to join to be able to rate themselves.

This module is 8+yrs old, search for how many others agree w/ your "idea of the two functions"

You may be correct, but then why have a ratings (only) module at all? I submitted a bug report.
