I think the below covers all the info needed and the title says it all. I get broken images in Firefox and no images in Chromium (I am running Mint 13)..No thumbs and no originals. I left the server in debug mode. The server is a dreamhost server if that matters.

From the FAQ: "Images don't show up and the album / photo links don't work, what can I do?"
I followed the steps to fix the URL reqrite module, but still no change.
I then tried the phpinfo.php to see what it says (http://www.dellpix.com/gallery/lib/support/phpinfo.php) which just returns a completely blank page.
The phpinfo.php I put on the server does not show HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER so I guess that's OK, assuming the two scripts do the same thing.
The only issue with file integrity was: "Output buffering disabled "
