Limit of amount photos in Gallery3

Some people say there is no any limit of quantity of photos in gallery3. But if I say how about more than 100000 photos? I want to start using Gallery 3 with my own photoarchive and I afraid, that my gallery will not be able to work properly. Freezing, errors... because of limit of photos or limit of records, as somebody said, or something else (not of the volume of server!)
That is true?
I already had that problem with Gallery 2. Something changed in Gallery 3?
Please help if somebody knows correct answer!

Is this a G1 question as you asked in the G1 forums?
Gallery software won't introduce a limit.
Your server resources might.

Thanks. I'll try ask it in G1 forum too. But even G2 didn't work properly with a lot of photos. And finally I finished working with it. It stoped at all. It was everthing normal with local server then. May it depend on volume of data base in result? I Because all photos were with tags and IPTC data.
