Hello friends,
I have been running with excellent stability for years until yesterday. I went to move some albums around and select a highlight picture. When I did that I got a database error. (Sorry, I didn't capture that one). When I took a look on the server I saw there was no disk space available so I suspect that was the cause. I freed up some space and still no joy.
I decided that maybe the database could stand some maintenance so I went in to do that. First I was going to make a backup. When I went to put the site into maintenance mode I got the following error:
Error (ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE) : Can't write to the versions file
in modules/core/classes/helpers/MaintenanceHelper_simple.class at line 155 (GalleryCoreApi::error)
in modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class at line 3298 (MaintenanceHelper_simple::setMaintenanceMode)
in modules/core/AdminMaintenance.inc at line 95 (GalleryCoreApi::setMaintenanceMode)
in main.php at line 250 (AdminMaintenanceController::handleRequest)
in main.php at line 104
in main.php at line 88
Any help is appreciated!
John

Well score one for doing a search. All good here now. I searched on the error and the first step (clear cahce) did the trick. All working now. No further help needed.
Thanks!
