Looks like the original author has deleted a few of his threads.
See if you can sent him http://galleryproject.org/user/241268/track a private message to see if he has a copy.

The reason I want to get a cache module is that my web host inmotion.com complained about my CPU usage. They suggest I need to cache pages to reduce the CPU usage otherwise I will be suspended from their server. They think that the Gallery3 template I am using has a design defect. by the way, I don't have a lot traffic just the high CPU usage. Anyone else has the CPU usage issue with their web host or just me?

Can they point out the design defect?
What template/theme?

No. they did not give specifics. They just complained the CPU usage and without cache function on Gallery3. Actually, the link http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:cache is sent to me by one of the guys at inmotion.com. He said that should fix the my CPU problem.
Since the cache module is no longer available, we cannot find out what he said is true or not. Anyone tested Gallery3 CPU usage vs. other image software? Do you hear any similar complains about CPU usage from other Gallery3 hosts? Anyway, to have a cache module working seems to be a good idea, don't you think?

On my two different shared hosts, as well as others I've been involved with, I have no issues. I'll let other community members give their experience and opinions.

The only specific they mentioned is the cache function. Is there anyway we can get that cache module back and work?

The author is also the author of the http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery3:Modules:sitemap module but all his posts are gone. Perhaps another community member has used it and can zip up the module and post it. That is if you can't find the original author and have them post the code again.

I sent Inposure a private message and haven't got reply yet. What is the best way to contact other community members for request like this?

The cache module should not be needed. If you beg to differ, I suggest you get a real hosting solution or get yourself a VPS.
Unfortunately, I could not erase all of my posts here. There doesn't seem to be a way to cancel the account. You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave, as is the case with so many unserious online businesses.
