I was wondering if there is an option or a module that allows uploading to be paused and resumed.. Or can it be added as a possible feature later? |

No option or module that I know of.
I could see a few issues with working this feature: Pause/resume works for rebuilding tasks because the images being repaired are on the server and already a part of Gallery; for uploading, the resume would only work provided an admin user is logged from the same computer and the images haven't been deleted/moved.
I guess an option to cancel a pending upload could help with that, but it could be tricky.
Would be easier to just upload in smaller batches?
