Images from folder sync with the same name, in different folders are criss-cross

Some of the albums imported using the folder sync module are criss-crossed.

FolderA (Thumbnail correct for AlbumA img0001)
   AlbumA (Thumbnail correct for AlbumA img0001)
      img0001 - (actually img0001 from AlbumC)
      img0002 - (actually img0002 from AlbumC)
FolderB (Thumbnail correct for AlbumB img0001)
   AlbumB (Thumbnail correct for AlbumB img0001)
      img0001 - (actually img0001 from AlbumC)
      img0002 - (actually img0002 from AlbumC)
FolderC (Thumbnail correct for AlbumC img0001)
   AlbumC (Thumbnail correct for AlbumC img0001)
      img0001 - (Correct)
      img0002 - (Correct)

If I click on the FolderA/AlbumA/img0001 image the breadcrumbs are wrong.
If I click on the FolderB/AlbumB/img0001 image the breadcrumbs are wrong.
If I click on the FolderC/AlbumC/img0001 image the breadcrumbs are correct.

There are several other folders that appears to be correct, that were imported at the same time.
Using Gallery 3.0.9

Questions:
How do I fix this?
How do I prevent this?

I would offer more feedback, but never used the module, so can't comment further.
